Our story begins in the 1600s when Tornedalen began to be settled. The main yard of our farm is a testament to this rich history, with the large timbered main house built in 1900, standing proudly as a symbol of our heritage. Alongside it is the red Norrbottensgård, constructed in 1830, each building telling its own unique story.

Since 1989, when our family first moved to this magical place, we have dedicated ourselves to preserving the beauty and tradition of the land. Riitta and Gunnar Björk, along with their three children, have infused Vitsaniemi Gård with a sense of family and care. It's not just about the buildings or the land; it's about creating a welcoming space where guests from around the world can experience the untamed beauty of Lapland.

Our accommodations range from rustic, wood-heated cabins in the wilderness to contemporary studio apartments with views overlooking the river and Finland.
